Sadly, The Balinese Room was destroyed by Hurricane Ike on September 13, 2008. It survived Hurricane Carla in 1961 and Hurricane Alicia in 1983, but Ike was just too much for it. We'll have our fond memories forever in these pictures! January 15th, 2005 The Moondogs playing the world famous Balinese Room in Galveston, Texas. Remember the ZZ Top song, "Down at the Balinese", this is it!
